Origine & Récolte
Muguet cannot be extracted from the natural flower (Convallaria majalis). The note is always a synthetic reconstruction. This makes it one of the great achievements of modern perfumery chemistry.
Molécules Clés
Hydroxycitronellal is the classic muguet molecule. Lilial (now restricted) was long essential. Modern reconstructions use Lyral alternatives, Bourgeonal, and Hedione to build the dewy, green floral effect.
Sécurité & Réglementation
Recent IFRA restrictions on Lilial (Butylphenyl methylpropional) have required reformulation of many muguet accords. Current reconstructions use compliant alternatives. Standard allergen declarations apply.

Histoire
Le muguet est un symbole du printemps et de la bonne fortune en France. La tradition d'offrir du muguet le 1er mai remonte à 1561. Sa reconstruction en parfumerie a commencé au début du 20e siècle avec la synthèse de l'hydroxycitronellal.
