Notes from the Perfumer

My main desire in composing Awakening was to extend the yuzu impression well beyond the evaporation of the natural citrus oils. I worked with 2 qualities of yuzu oil, extracted using different methods, and used perfumery techniques and complimentary raw materials to keep the zingy, sharp and mouth-watering aspects of yuzu beyond the top note and well into the wear. Incorporating green aspects to the top note also tied the green tea impressions long into the drydown of the fragrance.”
